“Skylights”: With proper design, there can be significant energy savings in commercial and industrial skylight applications. Savings from day lighting can cut lighting energy use by up to 80 percent. In terms of cost savings many commercial buildings can reduce total energy costs by up to one-third through the optimal use of day lighting. Glass skylights can use insulated glass and gutter systems to channel and drain condensation that can occur on the inside of skylights.
